Katherine K. Molly Presents at AACE’s Houston Gulf Coast Chapter

It’s Objective: To Address the Top 5 Mistakes that Lead to Contract Disputes

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Houston, TX — Blue Marble Risk Solutions’ Managing Partner Katherine K. Molly was a speaker at the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter for the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers (AACE) International. The discussion focused on a top five list of behaviors that typically result in a troubled project. Each “troubled” construction project has its own uniqueness, but they all tend to share at least a few of the same root causes. The only thing certain with a construction project is that cost and schedule are uncertain. Not adequately planning for and managing those uncertainties or risks can cause significant problems as shown in the Top 5 Ways to Get in Trouble presentation.

Since 1956, AACE International has been the leading-edge professional society for cost estimators, cost engineers, schedulers project managers, and project control specialists. With more than 5,500 members worldwide, AACE International is the largest organization serving the entire spectrum of cost management professionals. AACE International is industry independent, and has members in 78 countries and 71 local sections.
