Schedule Management Planning
Project schedules are roadmaps to help project teams navigate through complex and intricate pathways of work effort to achieve the project’s objective. The typical project is a dynamic series of tasks that constantly change and often do not progress as planned. A defined and continually refined project schedule is necessary to predict, recognize and react to issues and factors that affect and control project performance and outcome. Projects that do not have a solid plan or do not have a dynamic schedule-management approach are at risk for failure. Project failure is running over budget, over time and/or not completing.
Our world-class scheduling consultants understand the challenges of representing complex array of work tasks in a logical manner, combining those work activities to accurately represent the project, and then rapidly amending those relationships based on the changes made in execution. We help evaluate the following:
Schedule planning and methods- Time management and work breakdown structure
- Activities that make up the work breakdown structure
- Order of activities / activity sequencing / project logic
- Resource dependencies / availabilities for each activity
- Durations of planned work
- Design and choice of appropriate Schedule Model
- Updating of project schedules based on actual work progress
- Schedule risk analysis / likelihood of completion as planned
